Nominees for the BET award 2011were announced in April. The award ceremony scheduled to air live from Shrine Auditorium, LA on the BET channel on June 26, 2011 at 8 pm.

Black Entertainment Television-BET has established the BET award ceremony since 2001. Award is celebrated African Americans and other minorities in acting, music, sports and many other categories of entertainment over the past year.

BET Awards 2011 Nominees 

Kevin Hart is hosting the awards this year. Alicia Keys, Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, Beyonce and others will show their performances during the live broadcasting of the Award function.

Chris Brown has six nominations this year for Best male R&B artist, Video of the year, viewer choice and Best actor for his role in the thriller ‘Takers.’

‘Pottermore’ will open in October, 2011, although on July 31, 2011 site will go live, when a select group of one million users access the site. However July 31st is Harry Potter and Rowling’s birthday. Then it will be open to all Harry Potter fans from October, 2011 in many languages including Spanish, German, French and English.

Rowling didn’t mention any specific details on how users will be able to use the new site, but she promised that Pottermore site will be a safe, unique online reading experience built around the Harry Potter books. She also added, "This site is a fantastic way for fan creativity to continue. It's amazing for me to be creative in this medium, which didn't exist back in 1990."

J. K. Rowling said about her upcoming and most awaited site in press conference, "I had more than half of the new material already written or in note form. I literally dug some out of boxes, "I generated more material than ever appeared in the books. I thought 'who would ever want to know the significance of all the difference wand woods? .. Now you can go and see. It's such a rich experience to do it this way."

She said, "It is exactly like an ex-boyfriend, finishing writing Harry – I have only ever cried in that way and that much when my mother died. I have never cried for a man the way I cried for Harry Potter."

Nokia N9 – Price, Features and Video Review

Nokia announced the first MeeGo based smartphone named Nokia N9, in Singapore on June 21, 2011. The N9 is the world's first pure touchscreen phone. This Phone has no front-facing buttons and the user interface is handled with touches and swipes.

Nokia N9 has in favor of Microsoft’s windows Phone operating system. Phone is a stylized, minimalistic device with a unibody design and a pretty 3.9-inch curved display.

Phone has three different home screen views, designed to focus on apps, notifications, and switching between activities. But phone has no home key and this is a most interesting feature, when we are in application, swiping from the edge of the display will pull up home screen.

The Phone will be available in three colors—black, cyan, and magenta with 16GB and 64GB storage. Market analysts inference that Nokia N9 16 GB version may pricing at approx $660 and in India at Rs.30K, and Nokia N9 64GB version may pricing at approx $749 and in India at Rs.35K. This phone will be hit shelves on 2011 end.

Motorola-Sprint Photon 4G – Video Review

Motorola announced the android based ‘Photon 4G’ Smartphone, which will be coming before the end of the year 2011. The two companies, Motorola and Sprint are working together with a target and ‘Photon 4G’ is the first realistic result.

The concept of the Motorola’s ‘Atrix 4G’ and ‘Photon 4G’ are similar. There are equal parts phone and computing devices. Photon is the Atrix’s cool option, which turns the phone into a notebook.

Photon 4G is a small optional HDMI dock and turns in to computer that can drive a large monitor and also TV. It is connect with a keyboard and mouse, which much easier to use than on-screen keyboard. Photon 4G is well working at sending emails, showing online videos and browsing the Web.

Photon has a small optional remote control for volume; operate videos and adjusting other things.

Its large dimensions with rubberized back coating have the Photon looking solid. The Photon’s 4.3 inch screen can show 540x960 sharp and bright resolution. It is suitable for better view of games and movie videos. Touch screen of the phone is very responsive.

Photon uses a 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor with 1GB RAM and 16GB of flash storage with extendable to 48GB. It has both front and rear facing cameras, front VGA webcam is a little shaky and back facing 8 MP camera with dual LED flash is looking rich.

On the Sprint’s Wimax 4G network will Photon operate that is running in about one hundred Amercan cities and where 4G coverage not available the Photon falls back to Sprint’s EV-DO network and at slower speed GSM standard, it can also connect in Asia and European countries.

As people response, the Photon 4G could be the best phone when we need to make calls and be minicomputer when we need work and play. Although company representatives was not say about its pricing accessories and service plans.

The CMT Music Awards 2011 were held at the Bridgestone Arena on June 8, 2011. In full lights many stars shows performances in light mood.

Justin Bieber has explained over hair cut,"I just wanted a kind of a change, I didn't want to cut it all off, but I had had it for 3 1/2 years, I had just gotten sick of it, it was in my eyes, I didn't want it in my face, I just wanted to change it up."

Justin’s new haircut is signature bowl cut and it’s a much cooler and spiky look. Justin Bieber’s signature hair that inspired Halloween costumes and a recent Glee episode, has changed for the better. Bieber cut his hair on the set of a Rascal Flatts music video.
