Nokia has now announced two new smartphone devices- Nokia E6 and Nokia X7-with Symbian operating system.

Nokia said in a statement, "This momentum has resulted in 158 developers from 41 countries now surpassing the million download milestone each for their applications and the number of mobile applications in its Ovi Store has increased more than eight times in the past 12 months to more than 40,000, with as many as five million downloads a day.”

Both handsets will be available in the second quarter of this year and Nokia estimates it will sell 150 million Symbian handsets in the coming years as it moves over to WP7.

Motorola officially announced the Xoom tablet for Verizon. It is the moment we have been waiting for since Andy Rubin showed off a curious little tablet at the D : Dive into Mobile conference. We hopped over to take a look at the Motorola XOOM which will be the first “true” Android tablet to be released.

Motorola Xoom will be available from Verizon during the first quarter of 2011. It will come as a 3G device, but will be upgradeable to 4G LTE. Then in Q2 of this year, the device will ship as a 4G LTE tablet. Motorola says you’ll be able to send in your 3G device for an upgrade once the 4G components and network are ready.
Motorola says you should still get 10 hours of battery life out of the Xoom tablet while watching movies. Surfing the web or performing other tasks that don’t tax the processor as much as watching HD video should lead to even better battery life.

Motorola Xoom provides a good look at some of the new features in Honeycomb, including a web browser that looks a lot like the desktop version of Google’s Chrome browser. Not pricing declare now, but expect this to be somewhere in the upper $400 to $600 range.
