1) My screen name has nothing to do with the argument here. If we discuss my screen name we are going on a tangent which is very typical of desis (I rememeber womanly taunts in movies and woman gossip where they would pick anything but would niether make a point nor a valid argument)
so you can see where your argument is going..
2) Hopefull signifies optimism. A pessimist is an optimist who is very analytical or knows better. Your argument is similar to "And they lived happily ever after ...(after singing around green trees) ...." ignoring the ground reality, facts that no dent has been made and also turninga blind eye to the fact that there are people since 2001/2002 stuck. Its 2007 meaning five years and if the Dept is not willing to budge after all these efforts to a number more than 7000, and you still are HOPEFULL ignoring the facts means that you are an idiot. Yes you will get your GC before you die for sure provided you live upto the age of appx 70 and your consulting firm is around and you are not tired of the bickering with your employer.
Its just like a Yash Chora SRK movie ...it only happens in reel life and not real life ..
3) as far as the FT job goes we both knwo it deep within what it means...i hope you are smart enough to get the point and wont make me word it to emabrass you further..
4) if you would be intelligent enough to shed some light on how kindness and make you get your GC in thsi scenario ...

I just mailed the opencongress.org on what do they do with the polling data. Is this is sent off to the lawmakers, or not.. Is there anyways that this polling data can be used to make our voices heard..

I think IV should lobby to have the DREAM Act applied to all children, whether legal or illegal.
I am a legal skilled immigrant, came her in 1995 and still in line for GC. My son aged-out 3 years ago, and daughter will age-out in a month. Both of them would be on path to GC and citizenship under the DREAM Act....only if they had come here as undocumented. The DREAM Act allows the benefit till age 30, whereas legal dependants age-out at 21. Why this discrimination against legal entrants?

I spent 3+ months after application with out a passport, because my earlier Indian passport was issued in Sweden and SF guys want clearance from Sweden.
The ugly part is SF guys don't know how to communicate to their brothers/sisters in Sweden! Every time I en-quire they show fingers at Sweden embassy.
I use to wake up 3 in the morning to find out what the issue is with Sweden folks; almost all the time the ans is 'they did not receive any such clearance request from SF and don't have any procedure for the so called Clearance...'
With two different time zones and no direct phone support for SF consulate, it was hell to deal with out talking to any one in SF. Their phone line is a joke.
After 100's of emails(count less phone calls middle of night) with both consulates with some ugly and strong wordings(some times literally begging!), finally they issued my passport. I felt so happy seeing that than when I got my GC....and I lost valuable time window to travel.
God bless all those who wants Indian passport renewal at SF

I didn't webfax but sent my state's US Senators a message through their official portal (I had recieved a response last time I did that). I also followed up with a phone call to their offices.

It doesn't make sense to harm environment even more by buying new things.In fact, there are new trash cans available whose upper mouth is designed to fit in shopping bags itself.

Both options will still rejuvenate economy.
If you send saved $20 to India-Indian govt will be happy to reduce its oil import bill by $20, your family will use this $20 to buy a new Motorola cell phone/Nike shoes or eat dinner at MacDonalds.
Circle of Money never stops.

Even if I back date my marriage (as advised) , How can I get my future wife to USA?. I cannot get her on depend status as my H1-B (I believe) got canceled on approval of GC.
Issues I see,
1. The back date of marriage must match to my stay at India.
2. I did not visit India in the last one year.
3. I applied my I-485 in the August 2008 time. So (I must mention my marriage and dependents in the application). Which I did not . So this does not work.
See the troubles I have now.
P.S: I did not want to cheat USA Immigration Dept. Not a good practice

Don't even think about that, unless you want to go to jail. They can easily find out if you were staying in US while your marriage tookplace in India.

I am currently on H1B visa and I want to switch the company. New company is not willing to do H1B transfer and want me to work on EAD. I have pending I485 EB3 ROW with priority date of March 2006. Its been more than 180 days that I filed for I485 so I can use AC21 with EAD.
But my question is how risky will it be if I switch job at this stage with EAD?

At times it is advisable to inform USCIS and at other times not. Get your Fiance a F1 Visa before marriage. So, she is not married at that time and to US Immigration, she has no plans to immigrate. After she gets the Visa, marry her and bring her here. Technically I think you are OK, only you have to Spend bucks for here education :), which might be fruitful in long run!

they have delayed processing time so more people will file for premium processing and they earn more money. H1b quota is not filling up and all of a sudden processing time went from 2 to 6-7 months in 1 month. Because so many people ( h1 - h4 ) might be travelling in dec - jan season. Come back in feb - march and processing time will be again 2 months.
ICPS printing problems , Delays in approving will happen even if they make premium - join me in this drive if your EAD Card approved and still waiting... we need more people... let the word spread ASAP.

Desi consultants should be heavily fined or shut down if they get caught in filing multiple petitions. My Job duties on labor says
"Design, develop and test software using Java, C++, C, VB, Winrunner, SAP, Oracle, Networking, ASP and RUP"
The title in labor is "Software Engineer"
Now the new job offer has title as "Lead Developer"
and duties are
"The lead developer will be responsible for leading a team to creating components within Java, utilizing standard Integrated Development Environments (IDEs), writing unit test cases and supporting the Testing and Quality Assurance phases of the software development lifecycle."
Can somebody comment on this in context of same / similar job?

Duplicate application will definitely create problems I will told today by the USCIS rep. They don't recommend it at all and neither my lawyer. He has refused to re-file or will only re-file if I take the onus/responsibility of the result.
USCIS rep also informed me that as long as you have a tracking proof that you application was delivered, you should be able to refile after Aug17 also, in case application was not processed because it was lost or so.
USCIS feeds us lot of BS. Their reps have no idea about the whole immigration process. You get different answers each time you call. Atleast 3 different reps told me that it's fine to refile except that I will lose the money and one rep told me that I can always request USCIS to refund my money. Go figure.
