Why can't garbage be thrown in Walmart shopping plastic bags?
It doesn't make sense to harm environment even more by buying new things.In fact, there are new trash cans available whose upper mouth is designed to fit in shopping bags itself.
Regards photos-Let's say you save $20 by saving on photo. You can put this extra $20 in bank @rate of 5%. or you can spend it on extra dinner/movie.
Both options will still rejuvenate economy.
If you send saved $20 to India-Indian govt will be happy to reduce its oil import bill by $20, your family will use this $20 to buy a new Motorola cell phone/Nike shoes or eat dinner at MacDonalds.
Circle of Money never stops.

IMHO "legally" exploiting the system is illegal. I don't blame the system because any system will have some flaws in them. I would rather blame people who take advantage of situations esp in scenarios like this. We all know how much time some people has waited here. We heard a story on Monday right? Have we already forgot that? IV's goals and objectives are clear on its home page. Here comes the OP, registers himself and comes up with his first post of Labor substitution and how to better himself. I don't see any thing wrong in pete getting fired up. This exact attitude is the result of 6500 members and not 25,000 or what ever.

If I was judging you I would have concluded that you support what the OP is doing and wouldn't asked you what your stand is. It depends on how you understand what I said. Those NASDAQ listed companies you were referring to might have substituted labors but I am sure they wouldn't charge X dollars for giving a better PD or deduct from payroll under some other miscellaneous stuff. I am aware of what you are talking and what OP is talking and they are not the same. I don't need to explicitly tell how desi shops work with

In my case I don't even know if it is namecheck that is blocking my case. So far my guess is that it was just the huge deluge of July 2 applications under which my application got stuck. But now that they have opened my application and mailed an RFE on Oct 22, at least I know that some IO is processing my case. Right now I am eagerly waiting for the RFE details. My law firm(FDBL) has not received it yet. I am pinging them every other day.
To answer another question from another poster, yes, I have been with the same company since 2001.

I agree with you. It's not required by law to file any AC21 papers so the USCIS cannot do much. Also, the green card cannot be revoked after 5 years so by the time you apply for citizenship, the USCIS cannot do anything bad to you. Worst case, they will ask about it during the citizenship interview so it's a good idea to keep your employment offer handy. But it's very unlikely and I really doubt they can deny your citizenship based on this. That's why I see no drawbacks in not filing AC21 and no benefits in filing it if you know that I-140 won't be withdrawn. My advice would be to take an employment letter from current employer and keep it in case the USCIS asks for it. There is no need to cause troubles for yourself by letting the USCIS know about it.
There are so many things not required by law but you have to do which if you did not do is fraud or lie by ommision. Any material change to your case which could affect the decision of USCIS in awarding you with GC should be reported and USCIS "expects" us to do that.

The message says designated time frame, without specifying what the "designated time frame" is. I am just curious, where did you find that 120 days is the "designated time frame"?

As of now, for the background/name check -time frame in FBI rule-book is 120 days. It will be great if uscis can approve AOS if nothing adverse is reported by FBI within 120 days

We sent an email to CISOmbudsman.Publicaffairs@dhs.gov and they gave the update, even though the online status didn't update for more than a week.
The Ombudsman office gave a response with in one business day.
Found out from the Senator's office that my case has been approved. Attorney was able to call and confirm. No change in online status though.
E-filed on May 5th

I understand your situation as i was there once. If you dont have insurance than your options are very limited. if you live in dallas county parkland hospital is your only choice. Parkland has a network of several clinics around DFW area. Every clinic has financial assistance department. You can visit any of those and they will setup a payment plan which is reasonable based on your income. You will visit them for all prenatal care and when the time comes for delivery it will be taken to parkland. and parkland is a very good hospital as well. beside parkland several hospitals also offer cash plans like RHD memorial at 635 but they will charge you close to 4k just for delivery day and if its a normal one. you will have to do prenatal at your own.

From their tone, I can tell the were trying hard to be helpful.
But, no receipt for me yet. July 2nd filer here as well.
Should I keep another set of 485 application ready, just in case if I don't hear about check cashing or receipt till august 15th ?
Is there any harm in filing the 485 again (just to be safe).... IF I don't get any indication of action on july2nd app ?

3. Yes. Salary has changed but not significantly.
I dont see any issues here, but if you are still not sure and your date is current, see if you can request a promotion date that can be effective after your case has been adjudicated.
It will take some explaining but might be worth it..

So much for so called "highly skilled". Young guys out there, in their 20s....think twice about making America your permanent home. Right now, it is very discouraging.
It is sad. When you call USCIS to get some information, its almost like we are hitting against an Iron wall. They dont give out any information except read from a standard text. They could as well have some automated machine to read those out.
I just want to know if there is an official explanation for the delay in EAD renewal from USCIS. Wonder why it takes that long when they already have all our 'janamkundli' with them.

What do you say about your problem when you take InfoPass. You can't take an appointment to just ask what is happening to your case, unless several months have passed after all sorts of dates.
I dont belive it when ppl take silly suggestions seriously. We should know better having been in this mess for years now...
