You dont need an EAD, if you still have valid H1. AC21 has nothing to do with EAD. However, if your H1 is expiring soon, and you have already used up 6 years of H1, you would need an EAD, because H1 extension beyond 6 years is available only for people who cant file I485 because of retrogression.

Not sure what Shana wants, looks like he is feeling insecure about the whole process of changing jobs or layoffs etc....
He wants assurance that AC21 works fine and he will not have any issues.
I can only say - AC21 protects you, but cannot guarantee the ride will be smooth.

If CIR is passed, many in the backlog will move to new merit system because their labor is still pending and no new GC application after May 21st 2007 also.
So, you have lot less people picthcing against 10% of 90,000 visas vs the case now where there are lot more people for 7% of 140K.
I still don't get why it is bad for everybody?
It is definitely little better for those who can use older GC process/system with 10% of 90K visa numbers.
Also, i bet there will be another amendment to add more to 90K for clearing the backlog much faster.

Is it not possible to make the copy of the application when you have to sign it? Will the alien # not be there on the application?

Hopefully from October 2010 the date stay as it is. Did you checked the cut off data it does show 0 requirement prior to 2006.
Its 26May. I don't think they will move something in Oct right???

I agree with you. PenDot does not give online extension for non-immigrants(if it was mentioned originally that you are foreigner when you first got your license). Also they extend visa for H1 only after you get approved extension letter in hand. They do not accept receipt notice. I think they accept i-485 receipt notice to extend you Driving license though.

I don't know if this question has been asked before. Is there a benefit for filing AP by paper rather then electronically. I filed EAD by paper to TCS and got the "Card Production Ordered" email yesterday (in 14 days) for myself and my wife. My friends who efiled just received finger printing appointment notification and no receipts. Is there same benefit with AP? Please calrify.

When we conducted D.C. rally, there were roughly 1500 people attended. Each member has his/her own reason for not attending the rally.
The reasons could be, taking a day off from work or to far from their place etc..,
As a first step��..:)
Why don�t we plan for rally on the same day, same time at various major cities? This would enable members to attend in their respective cities.
We knew that, we are 25K+ members strong and can hold rallies/protests, where we have (major cities) at least 100+ members.
We must invite media and local US leader�s for rally and show our strength and request them to work towards the Green Cards.
Why don�t we plan for a rally during the this Christmas season?

Your beating around the bush and twisting words just show you have no argument. Didn't your MBA teach you that there is something called logical argument? Or was your degree from the like of TVU ?
It is only YOU who think that online degree does not have recognition . If you are yet to understand the power of Online educatoin you are probably living in stone age.
BTW, I do not have a online degree (though I plan to go for an online MBA) but I am pissed off when I see some so called educated people are so eager to get a GC that they will probably kill others to make their way.

I guess country quota is root of all our green card related griefs. everybody else can dream of getting a green card someday, but EB-3/EB-2 India & China should stop dreaming about Green cards...I am sure this can be prooved illegal.

In the past courts has said yes to "Affirmative action" and that it doesn't violate the
equality given by constitution.
Another option would be to challenge the interpretation of the law. Like unused visa capture whether wasted visa
should be counted.
Long back time spent outside US and on H4 visa used to we wasted. Not anymore. This has come about by challenging
the interpretation of the law.
Similar challenges are going on interpretation of the Child status protection act that was passed in 2002

FYI majority of Desi companies follow the rules as stipulated by US laws. There definitely are abuses in any law. Do you think all wallstreet firms played by rules in this financial mess.
If there are abuses that should be enforced. No doubt about it.
Please stop generalizing from these incidents. There are good majority of IV folks who work for good consulting companies.
If you don't want IV to be reduced to an organization of couple of hundred members, please stop generalizing. After all that is what anti-immigrants are doing.
Don't kill IV with your immature perspective.
