Does anyone know whether hard copy of Labor approval is required for filing Form 1-140. My Labor status shows certified, but my lawyer is conveying that they have not received my hard copy of approval to process Form I-140 and 485. Can some one tell me if we can take a print out of Labor approval from online status and use it for filing 140.

For those who already received GC, it is trivial. For us who have not received it yet, it is a life or death matter. So please don't play with it. I hate to meet the green card holder who brags as if it were nothing.

Pre-Adjudication is just a work flow method and not a policy. There is a high chance that a pre-adjudicated case may just get an approval when the visa numbers are available. But, who knows, they may have reasons to still issue an RFE requesting employment verification based on certain triggers such as change of address, over a year since case was pre-adjudicated etc.
So we may not be able to say for certain that all Pre-adjudicated cases will be approved when visa numbers are available.

Does it mean they would stop processing I140 premium applications which have already been sent. My I140 was pending for 6 months and I changed it for premium after the dates became current, it was sent by my lawyer this Monday (25th) and received by USCIS on 26th. Does this mean it will not be processed or does this mean they will not accept any premium processing applications from July 2nd.
Yours will be processed as you have already submitted. You should receive your decision in the next week. When you do, please let us know that it is approved :)

It will bring down the workload? Can you explain how? If anyone in the world is eligible to apply for the GC without sponsorship, the system will be flooded with applications, irrespective of whether they carry any merit or not. What makes you think that an organization that cannot process 140K applications per year can handle millions?
The point based system sounds great in theory, but cannot be implemented efficiently by the U.S. as long as it remains the most desired country for immigrants. It works for Canada, Australia and the U.K. because fewer people want to move there.
Anybody wont be eligible. Canada has been fine tuning the immigration since 2002.
Now only people who have studied or worked in Canada on work permit are eligible.
family based is greatly restricted unlike US where around 80 is non-skill based.
If they want they always reform but the exiting H1B is so good for American Companies that they will fight to keep the existing H1B-GC servitude instead of
any point based..
Plus there is politics of vote bank: Moment the CIR comes, the sheer stampede of illegal lobby like the bulls of Spain, H1B folks get crushed. Last time, moment the CIR came, H1B people started opposing it because it literally made illegals ahead in line line with more points in the point based system.
That's why I am skeptical of CIR as of now. H1bs don't have much chance in front
of the madness of illegal lobby vote bank. Based on my observations of how the
US politics works I don't see promise in CIR (one of main reasons I left for Canada)
Not to mention, a lot of antis are not that against EB reform but moment CIR comes
all anti-s get united in opposition. The illegal bobby hold H1Bs as hostage unless they get what they want. It is such a deadlock that I just don't see how it can be fixed.
Unless there is another super powerful lobby helping us like US industry (supreme powerful lord in US politics) which currently wants the existing H1B system I don't see headway.

Please shut your mouth. You do not know and feel what we are going thru (PBEC victim). As a member of this community, and have contibuted monetary support, I too, would like to have the problem in PBEC be heard.

Till date, I know it may be in one of the BECs if it wasn't lost in transit. I was not able to obtain a screen shot nor do I have a 45 day letter. Still I say, when setting priorities, set it on what can be accomplished in the next two weeks, I agree with you in using the IVs opportunity to speak to bring all issues. But definitely not agree with your tone of voice. IV has clearly stated in its media relations page that members that have no respect to opinions and have no decency in their language can be taken out or censored.

Maybe we should tell NRA that lot of skilled immigrants will buy guns once they have GCs. That could be the fastest way for us to get some lobbying money. It could work faster then the message on "buying houses".
I have lived in Nevada before. I think in that state and many other western states (where guns laws are more liberal) you have to have passport, I-94 and utility bills proving you have lived in NV for 6 months. That's it. You don't need hunting license to get a gun license.
Here is the biggest irony:
IN order to own a gun, FBI needs only 2 days to check your background.
IN order to get 485 approved, FBI takes months or years to do a background check.
I guess green-card is a more lethal weapon than a handgun.

I always loved this board for what it does - especially the Gurus who always spend their precious time giving input to member's queries. Well... this is not query. I just want to vent my frustration, helplessness to fellow friends in this board. In spite of graduating from a reputed univ with a Masters and very good GPA and also having 7 years of professional experience, I am bound to be a slave to my current Employer without any promotions, career growth or anything remote to that for next (God knows how many Decades) several years. ppl who are junior to me in every aspect are growing left and right and are also getting brighter opportunities. I dont care if you guys think I am jealous of them.... But does God really exist ? sorry for wasting your time with this depressing note. I guess there is a limit to how unlucky I can be !! call me a cry baby but I am one real unlucky individual !
I know exactly how you feel because I felt that way every single day for over 8 years (look at my priority date) and even years before I sent in my i485 application. It is just the worst feeling of hopelessness and constant worry because you don't know what's going to happen and when is it going to happen, and you can't even do anything with your life because you don't know the outcome of the whole thing. I know exactly how you feel. I finally got my GC this year but I think what I went through I will never forget. I hate it when people try to make others feel better with story examples of unfortunate people from poor countries or alcoholic parents or whatever stuff of that kind, because no one who is going through something so emotionally charged as feeling like a caged bird with no future is going to take those examples and all of a sudden go AHA and feel happy, however, as someone who was where you are and who waited for over a decade to get to the final point, I can tell you what I now know I should have done while I was waiting. I should have learned a language, I should have read more, I should have acquired more hobbies, I should have learned some extra computer skills. I finally got my card and I have to start from zero because I spent so much time just concentrating on my job and my misery and on other superficial things, and now, in order to finally move on I am home on the 1st of the year surrounded be a million "how to" books in order to be able to learn new things and get a better job that is obviously going to require more skills. The only thing I give myself credit for is starting an "after GC goals" list, because I have been doing things I always wanted to do and enjoying it, and crossing them off my list.
Also, I don't think you're really being jealous, I think you're just upset that other people with similar or less skills than you get to move on to better things, and that's really, very normal. I was there too, and tons of people on here go through the same thing. Life is unfair that way sometimes and it's all about how you make your lemonade out of lemons. So, my advice to you again is to use this waiting time to learn new things, even if you practice calligraphy, just keep busy, do something, so when you finally reach the end of the line you can say, f this, this took forever, but at least I don't feel like a damn loser.

Meanwhile one thing is for sure:
Every application filed after July 2nd, is filed AFTER they closed the doors oficially! How are we in the same class as the people from July 2nd ??? Just because we prepared for filing ??? Isn't that a bit weak in the eyes of the law ?
Just talked to my lawyer..he said even if we win the case...eligibility is based on the court order...court order may allow every one or only limited people who are in the class action...and in murthy.com they clearly mentioned that, USCIS MAY look at the apllications very closely who are in the class action....who wants that..
Send flowers on JULY 10TH....the count is reaching 100.
